We generally plan to have work completed at a minimum of one month however to be on the safe side we ask you to put 2 months in your plans. Thus unless we get your information by 15 March we are unable to guarantee meeting this lodgement deadline. After 15 March we start to desperately implore clients to get us their information and after 15 April we then start making lists of returns requiring an extension. This costs us extra time and clients should expect a higher fee. Also we have performance guidelines from the ATO and to protect the good clients we will remove procrastinating clients from our lodgement list.
We of course are happy to do work that is late as long as you are happy to pay the fines. We actually like a few latecomers in order to keep the team busy all year round.
